Recently i hv join kpmg and i hv 2nd grp of ca final pending because this time also i was not able to clear got 180 marks and as per kpmg policy they agreed to give me one month leave for my nov 10 exam. But i feel one month is not enough for 2nd grp and t m planning to put my papers and resign. So please help me in taking descion whether i m taking right desicion or not because since under old syllabus it is last attemt i dont want to take any chances and clear exam as soon as possible b'coz now my age 28 and still unmarried and also i hv so many responsiblity on me of my family because in my family i m the only financial earner. Please help me. Thanks. Shd i leave or stick to kpmg. thanks once again

Dear Ashok,

My suggestion to you will be to remain stick with KPMG, though I know that they are providing you with only a month long leave. I am assuming you will get leave on 1st of October, see this time exams are starting on 9th of Nov. and since your 2nd group is pending your exam date will be around 17th, this way you will be having 1.5 month in hand with you and also you are not preparing second group syllabus for the 1st time, its more will be a revision of your earlier preparation. As you have told that you have lots of responsibilties, as you are in a Big 4 you will be earning quite handsome money than other articles of your level in other CA firms. Leaving job is not a solution. Ultimately If after clearing CA you see your self with KPMG in future, remain stick or if you have other plans you can move out.
