Perspective of bill gates - brilliant

A message for us all . . . including our children . . . and Grandchildren!

Bill Gates ~
This should be posted in every school or kid's bedroom .

Love him or hate him , he sure hits the nail on the head with this!

Bill Gates gave a speech at a High School about
eleven (11) things they did not and will not learn in school .
He talks about how feel-good, politically correct teachings
created a generation of kids with no concept of reality and
how this concept set them up for failure in the real world .

Rule 1 : Life is not fair - get used to it!

Rule 2 : The world doesn't care about your self-esteem .
The world will expect you to accomplish something
BEFORE you feel good about yourself .

Rule 3
 :
You will NOT make $60,000 a year right out of high school .
You won't be a vice-president with a car phone until you earn both .

Rule 4 : If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss

Rule 5 : Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity .
Your Grandparents had a different word for burger flipping:
They called it opportunity .

Rule 6 : If you mess up, it's not your parents' fault,
so don't whine about your mistakes, learn from them .

Rule 7 : Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring
as they are now . They got that way from paying your bills,
cleaning your clothes and listening to you
talk about how cool you thought you were:
So before you save the rain forest
from the parasites of your parent's generation,
try delousing the closet in your own room .
.

Rule 8 : Your school may have done away with winners and losers,
but life HAS NOT . In some schools, they have abolished failing grades
and they'll give you as MANY TIMES as you want to get the right answer .
*This doesn't bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life .

Rule 9 : Life is not divided into semesters .
You don't get summers off and very few employers
are interested in helping you FIND YOURSELF .
*Do that on your own time .

Rule 10 : Television is NOT real life .
In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs .

Rule 11 : Be nice to nerds .
Chances are you'll end up working for one . .

If you can read this . . Thank a Teacher .
If you can read this in English . . Thank a Soldier!
And for life and everything else you have . . Thank God!

finally thanks to you mam for bringing these rules to us.

First, I would like to thank you for providing this information.

I stumbled on this piece with 11 Rules and I decided to use it as an educational material for me. In other words, embedded among other "common sense" ones, the first rule promotes political and social apathy and inaction against injustices. The life we live may not be fair, but it is the duty of every moral person to try their best to make it fairer.

Unfortunately, critical thinking is missing from our educational system. Now the internet added more burden beyond critical thinking, we must also do the critical research or authentication of what we read and see. It is disheartening that the great majority of people are not critical researchers nor critical thinkers. With so much false information and brains infected with logical fallacies we will end up with charlatans and crooks as politicians and business leaders.

Thanks for this wonderful post Neha ji...

I think the message is loud and clear --- keep working hard towards your goal with utmost sincerity and dedication. Success will definitely come. Be nice to everyone.

Regards

The Soldier: - By Charles M. Province

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech.
If you can read this message thank a teacher,
If you are reading it in English of your own free will THANK A SOLDIER!
It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate.
It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial.
It is the soldier, who salutes the flag, who serves under the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag,
who allows the protester to burn the flag.
To all the brave men and women who have dedicated or given their lives
to protecting this country and it's freedoms:
Thank you.
