My brother had given to file his ITR for AY 07-08 and AY 08-09 to his CA in the past years. Thereafter for 2 years he was in US and was NR so didnt file his return. However later he realised that the refund due to him for AY 07-08 and AY 08-09 was not received by him and eventually he also doubts whether his CA has actually filed the returns or not. He or his CA does not have any acknowledgement copy for these years.
1) Is there a way out wherein we can check if the returns for these AYs were actually filed / not?
2) If the reurn is filed, and refund not yet received, what is the remedy to claim refund now ?
