Pass or fail ?

hey all,

i have few questions re garding exams. [dec-2011 executive program]

i scored less than 40% marks in all subjects[2 modules EP] : fail for sure

i scored less than 40% marks in 5 subjects [ failed 1 module completely] : fail for sure

i scored less than 40% marks in 4 subjects [ failed 1 module completely]: here lie chance to pass 1 module

i scored less than 40% marks in 3 subjects [ either passed 1 module or not]: again have chance to pass either module

my question is if you have passed 1 module and failed in other module[1 or 2 or all 3 subjects] is it allow you fill exam application form so that you could pass failed subjects in JUN-2013 exam or

if u have failed in any subject or module , since registeration period is 5 years , i need to pay that amount of 7000+ for dec-2013/june 2013

how to know whether you did passed the exam or failed ?

You need to get minimum of 40% in each Subject & overall 50% to pass. At any case u need to get 40% in all 6 subjects AND overall 50% considering both groups ie 300 out of 600. If you are writing only one module at a time u have to get 40% in all 3 subject of that module & over all 50% in that module ie 150 out of 300 Suppose u got 60 in a subject but u have not got aggregate or u hav failed in a subject. U can claim exemption in paper u scored 60 or above.

only the examination form fee i.e Rs 900 for 1 module or Rs 1800 for both the modules will be paid. if you have scored 60 marks in 1 subject  of a module and failed to clear that module you can claim exemption in that subject while filling the examination form. if you have already given examination, you your next attempt will be after 6 months eg if you appeared in june you can appear in dec also for executive programme.

lets say i have passed 2 subjects from each module , didn't got 60 in any passed subject : even then i have passed the modules isn't it [yeah i have to clear the failed subjects or i will need to pass the already cleared subjects too[in case not achieved 60]as im[lied by ms. divya)

as ms. garg you brought forward i can participate in june 2013 exam if i wish to if i failed in any subject.

If you have cleared modules but you didn't score 60 marks in any subject, you will not need to clear that module. 60 marks in a subject of a module is just an exemption. that if you haven't cleared a module of which one of the subjects or two of the subjects you scored 60 marks. you will be able to get exemption from those subjects i.e. you will not attempt those papers. 60 marks exemptions apply in case when you have not cleared a module.

divya is correct. you have to score minimum 40 marks to clear a subject and 50% marks to clear the module. If failed in a module and you haven't scored 60 marks in any subject of that module but passed in two subjects then you will be required to give exams of all the three subjects of that module. For example, lets tlk about module 1 in which you have gcl, accounts and tax. If you scored in gcl 38 marks, accounts 49 marks and tax 55 marks.  although you cleared accounts and tax but you failed in gcl you will give exams of all those three subjects.

i think you should not pay attention to 60 marks. pay attention to obtaining atleast 40 marks in  each subject and 50% marks in a module. even if your total is more than 50% but failing in even1 paper of a module will not pass you in the whole module.

If you have alredy give june 2012 attempt, you can appear in dec 2012. and if you are appearing in dec 2012 you can have your second attempt in june 2013.

try to clear all subjects of a module in 1 attempt

Rajin what do u mean by i have lied ??

Registration for executive course is only once.. Exam fees is completely different from it...!! u wil not be asked to 7000+ again, Exam fees applies as mentioned by deepali garg.

As u have mentioned above - Incase u have passed only 2 subjects in each module & not scored 60in any paper it means u have failed & u need to write all 6 subjects again.

ms. divya IMPLIED became lied. thank you both  for providing me good information.

i have few more question : i has the freedom to give exam of whichever module i want? [first time]

i mean if i wsh to give exam of only 1 module i can do that naa or first attempt reuire you to take part in exams of both modules.

SCANNER : solved guide similar to school days every subject guides . is it really helpful ?

RESPONSE SHEET RELATED QUERIES

foolscap ruled sheets ?  this one ? https://www.viking-direct.co.uk/pictures/GB/VKG/SK/LG/540704_sk_lg.jpg

2. a self addressed stamped post card

3. rolling of response sheets ? use wraper ?

also when one receive his/her admit card. except study material books we not receive anything else , isn't it.

you can appear in any of the two modules you like in first attempt . you can also attempt both the modules. it completely depends on your will. you need to study the study material provided by icsi. solved scanner you are asking is the previous year solved question papers. yes they are helpful. loose sheets are available on stationary shops.

you can purchase from their. the self-addressed stamp post card is the ordinary post card on which you will write your registration number and you address in tha space provided for writing address. the purpose of attaching the post-card is that when they'll receive your response sheets, they'll send you that post card. the post card is a formality they won't send you. with the title sheets you will be given brown colored wrapper. you will have to make a roll of the response sheet and paste that wraper on the sheet. the wraper has the address of the institute. the instructions are written on a sheet provided with the title sheets.

I think you are talking about registration card instead of admit card. i received my study material 15 days after receiving the registration letter and identity card.

ms. garg you have solved my each and every query .

i received study material in the last week of march but afer that i received no identity card or registeration letter.

seems like i need to contact the administration.

i also think so.

i have few more queries and hope both of you have answers regarding it.

STUDENT INDUCTION PROGRAMME
