Hello frenzzz what do u all feel with the marks u obtained this time???was the cheking lenient or was it strict???From my marks obtained I personally feel that it was strict becos i was expecting exemption in LAW as it was very much easy for me,i had quoted case law and sections in almost every answer and i had attempted 100 mks paper still got only 51...i doubt whetehr there is any extra weightage given for quoting sections...!!!!1 of my frens attempted only 70mks paper and without quoting sections he got 40...my hard work did not pay me...Even in audit i got only 29 which was far below expectation...for me paper was bit tough bt i thot i will anyhw get minimum 40 bt i think now a days icai wants perfect and quality answers...there was a time when ppl used to write irrelevant answers and they easily managed to get minimum 40 bt I think now the trend has changed and icai is evaluating the papers more strictly than before...PLS SHARE UR VIEWS FRENSS....

Good morning, See Harish Our ICAI always strives to maintain quality in every thing. I know that your question finds a place this time in your mind.PASS% is lower as compared to previous chances. But it can be due to the number of examinees registered for the may 2013 chance is also less as compared to other chances. So learn from your mistakes and try to complete exam within time frame by attempting all ICAI questions even though u know only a part of it.Remember always try for PERFECTION in answers only if there is time left.BEST WISHES..

yup strict checking in audit and law this time......mainly in audit many students failed not getting even 40 after attempting 100 marks...they have targeted audit this time in 1st grp......

CFA(USA) institute is very good . Since questions are objective students dont face such subjectivity.

Also passing % hardly changes over years .
