PAN in the name of Society. Since

1.Once society registered, it has  to get PAN

2.Running college is the one of object of the Society.

3.If education institution, refer Sec. 10(23 C)(iii ab) and (iii ad)

4.Apply Form 10 A as early 

Form No:10A  is for Application for Registration of charitable or religeous trust or institution u/s 12A(a) of the Income tax Act, 1961.
