Non filer notice for AY 14 - 15

Hi,

I had received Non filer compliance notice by income tax department on March 2016 for AY 14-15 and at that time  i had respond the same online as "No income tax return file due to non taxable income"

But still when i am viewing this notice on compliance tab of income tax portal the status is showing as response submitted.

I beleive income tax closes such notices if they found the response to be satisfactory but in my case it is not yet closed can you please advise what would be the reason for the same, can income tax still take some action on it, is there a time limit for income tax to close such notices.
