Newspaper Insulting Chartered Accountants - Time to support

Others 1179 views 5 replies

Recently Dainik Jagran newspaper published news about the Direct Tax Code and the role of Chartered Accountant in implementing the new direct tax Code. But the news published was somewhat insulting to the profession because the news had headlines stating that "PROVISIONS OF DTC TO PUNISH THE HELPERS WHO HELPS IN AVOIDANCE OF TAXES." (CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT ETC..)

We should stand against this derogatory remark against the profession. Such a comment in newspaper is not only irresponsible and insensible behaviour towards contribution of the profession, but also creates wrong image in eyes of the public about the profession.
