Need help to decide whether to go for both G' r only group I

Hi

Hope everyone is doing fine.

I need some help. I would like to request the experts to drop some advice.

The thing is I completed my engineering and I am presently working in the industry.

I cleared my CPT exam this June this year and my IPCC exams are due in may 2010.

I got registered for both the groups of IPCC. I thought I could clear them in the first go. But suddenly, things turned out sour in my personal life. So, I don't think it will be possible for me to spend all the time it takes to clear both the groups in one go.

So, I would like to know, whether it is allowed to apply for only group I (even though you are registered for both the groups) in may 2010 attempt and go for group II during the atricleship

It is clear that I don't want to take chances....It is like - I take the exams and I should pass them in the first attempt.

so, can I skip group II for the time being. If yes, Please let me know the complications that may arise afterwards, If any.

I really appreciate your suggestions.

Thank you.

regards,
Kumar

hi kumar, dont worry even if u r registered for both grps. u can gv only one grp also , no restriction on dat, at the time of exam form filling just indicate one group.Go for the first grp. as clearing it will make u eligible for articleship. okay

Mr.Kumar, the benefit of appearing for both groups is that u can avail the benefit of set off....but its okay...if u are not able to prepare to prepare for both groups together, attempt one group at a time ane the benefit in IPCC is that u can join articles as soon as u clear group 1. so prepare well for group 1 and take group 2 during ur articles period...no complications will follow except that ur audit firm should give u sufficient leave for your 2nd group

Hi Kumar

you have to clear first group to do articleship and you can go through second grp during articleship. or

you can go through the both groups but first group must be cleared to do articleship.

ok

heyfreind,

dont worry go for one group sincerely and seriously,u will win

regds

jagannadh

While registering you have to do for both the groups but while filing the exam forms you can fill 1st group and pay the exams fess for the particular group..For articles you have to clear 1st group..All the best..

heyfreind, dont worry go for one group sincerely and seriously,u will win regds

prepares for both group and rest leave on god. just concentrate on ur works

Guys, I really appreciate  your help.

Thank you very much.

I am grateful to each and everyone of you.

never even aim for just 1 group

go for both

come what may.............

dude.. i gave 1st group in june and cleared it without any coaching.  now i am goin in for the 2nd group again without any coaching. its not about how many groups you're giving. its about passing it. i knew what i was capable of. so didn't went in for both.

but my advise to you would be to go for BOTH. you have plenty of time. you'll succeed.

Kumar, its an "Individual's" decision to go whether for one group or both the groups together.  Both the scenarios are fine. It all depends on your preparations. Like i have seen you are already busy in your job and in case you are not getting enough time to spend with your books, you should have it one by one. If you think have done enough preparations to go for the kill, go ahead and give both.

It hardly matters for how much groups you have applied for, you can go for one group, if you have applied for that group or both groups.

All the best to you. Wish you a bright future.

hey can any one tell me wat are the benefits of writin both d group???

U hav the option to go for one grp of IPCC even if u hav registered for both the grps.. Hence concentrate on first as passing it enables u to join articleship.. Hav a hard go at it... clear it in 1st attempt and then go for 2nd after registering for articles.. Wish u a best of luck...

Aarthi:: The benefit of ri8ing both grps is that u can set off ur marks. i.e., (in case of PCC) if u get 155 in 1st grp and 145 in 2nd.... It means u hav cleared ur PCC (subject to securing 40 in all the subjects).... Thats the benefit.. U need not secure 50% individually in each grp.. Hence the benefit of writing both the grps......

hey...even if u r nt fully prepared...try 2 go 4 both groups...yr exam is nxt yr...u have time...i understand that circumstances r nt really in yr favour...but do give it a shot..

i have just given both groups IPCC...i was on bed rest for 2 weeks at the end of september...n my exams were on nov beginnin....

my best frnd was also in d same condition...he was not even allowed 2 sit..he had 2 lie down the entire day...still he gave both groups...while the doctor very clearly told us NOT 2 study for 3 weeks....dat was d end of september...n at dat time our classes were also goin on...

i dunno whether we'll pass or not...i hope v do coz d papers did go fine...but at least we got the exposure n d experience...

and den dere is always the set off option that ahamed has talked bout...dat is really helpful...n den whn u clear 1st grp, by the time u start yr articleship....only 3 mnths will b left 4 d next attempt...u think u'll get a leave so soon??...so u'll have 2 prepare 4 grp 2 frm b4 only...so its one n the same thng...

gud luck deciding...all d very best...
