i took coaching from parveen sharma sir in c.a final may 2012 batch...he used to write narrations for journal entries but he writes in short like "being amt. trfd" or being capital reduced but i checked out suggested answers of icai of past exams;icai writes full narration like if mr. A has purchased furniture from mr. B of rs. 20000 then parveen sharma sir will write "being furniture purchased" and icai writes in suggested answrs like "being furniture purchased by mr. A from mr. B for rs 20000...now tell which one to follow...icai seems right to me but sir cant be wrong as all over india students follow him...

plz tell me which one to follow?

Hi Ekta,

Well as far as exams are considered these things are not of much relevance as in it all depends whether u have sufficient time to include all this things in ur anser paper.

If yes then write the full narration & if no then put it in short. As in the paper checker is concerned about ur journal entry & conceptual clarity and not ur narration.

So just keep it simple.
