No, you are not eligible as 2.5 years of articleship should complete on or before 30th April 2017 to become eligible for May 2017 exams.
Yes agreed with Nikhil and as u are not completing 2.5 years of articleship till 30.0417, u are not eligible.

Which exams are you talking about CA IPC or CA Final?
If CA final i agree with Nikhil and Ankitha..
if CA IPC provided if you are registered for articles under Direct Entry, you are eligible to write your CA IPC after 9 Months of Articles in your case it is more than 9 Months to appear in May 2017 (from 8/12/2014) therefore you can appear.
