Hello Experts of CCI and Qualified members of the institute(s), Gd Mg to all.

I had a doubt regarding taking the membership of ICWAI. I Qualified the CMA in Dec-12 and i got a job in Campus Interview as well. My doubt is as I'm a Job Holder Now so..

1.Was I'm eligible to take the membership from ICWAI?

2. If Yes, then plz, tell me the benefits of taking/holding the Membership.. (this is Imp. Plz explain me benefits of Registering as a Member)

3. I was in CA- final (Group-1 Balance to become an CA). If i will take membership from ICWAI, is it possible for me to take the Membership From ICAI also, after i was qualified in CA Exams.??

1. Membership is not compulsary.

2. Some companies ask for membership certificate, in that case it is required to apply for membership. Members need to pay annual membership fee and they gets copy of journal and other updates from institute. Member has voting rights in institutes election.

3. If you go for practice in future, membership taken previously helps in your status as associate/fellow.

4. Anyone can take more than one membership unless restricted in any of your professional degree. In your case you can take both the degrees.

Thanks for the replies Sir .. I had a doubt in this again. when I was trying to apply for membership in ICWAI it was asking for experience.

--- I don't have any previous experience in any industry (except the article training of 3.5yrs in a CA FIRM during my CA ARTICLE SHIP PERIOD)

so, Shall I Eligible to apply for a membership in icwai even i don't have any experience that which was asking there.???

My CA-ARTICLES can take into account as experience in this????

A person who has passed the Final Examination of the Institute and has obtained for a period of not less than three years of practical experience in the field of Cost & Management Accountancy and other related areas can apply for Associate Membership. The practical experience as above may be acquired prior to or after passing the Final Examination or partly before and partly after passing the said examination. The applicant has to produce evidence to the satisfaction of the Council.
