I want to know weather medical expenses on self and dependent can be claimed as deduction for salaried employee or not. If so let me know.

medical expenses up to RS 15000)- pa for purchase of day to day medicines & Dr fees for opd treatment, recvd from employer are exempted in it .
indoor treatment amount recvd from emplr is exempted in full.
