2)when should i think og applying for articlship?is it only after the results of ipcc come or should i make it earlier??

3)if i pass both the groups in ipcc initially(i.e.ma first atempt), dont you think it would be better i go for a big 4 to do ma articleship??

4)what are the factors that i should look into to find out  whether a firm is good or not??i would like to work in a firm where they cover

all the aspects so that i would be well-nourished regarding the practical aspect of CA..(is it just the statutoy audit..bank audit..internal

audit))

5)do u think chennai is the best place where i should do ma coaching??any comments on  chennai coaching??

6)is tranfer and secondment possible as of now??

ICAI believes in regular updation of the C.A. course to suit the fast changing environment. As part of this effort the Level Two of the course has been changed and re-christened IPCC. The details of IPCC are:

  1. Undergo Information Technology Training (ITT) provided by ICAI itself for 100 Hours.
  2. Undergo the Orientation Programme conducted by ICAI for 35 Hours.
  • Eligibility Criteria:A student who has passed the CPT and 12th standard examination may join the Integrated Professional Competence Course
  • Practical Training: After passing group-I of the course, a student must join a practicing Chartered Accountant for practical training (Articleship). Articleship shall be of 3 years duration (36 months).
  • Additionally: In addition to artcileship a student must complete 100 hours of Information Technology Training (ITT) and 35 hours of ‘Orientation Programme’ ITT is to be started after a student registers for IPCC and completed before appearing in Group-I and Group-II of IPCE or Group I / ATE. Orientation Programme is of 4 sessions per day for 35 hours with an ICAI accredited institute.
  • Integrated Professional Competence Examination (IPCE): A student will have to appear for the IPCE after fulfillment of following conditions: PCE is conducted twice in a year, May and November.

YOUR ANSWERS ARE:

NO

YES

NO

DIFFICULT

NO

YES ONLY SECONDMENT

ANYTHING THAT YOU CAN PROVE CAN HELP U.. KNOWLEDGE IS NEVER A WASTE..

Yes it depends on you either to give both the IPCC groups together or give them separately . It is generally difficult to give both the groups together that's why most of the students give the groups separately.

For eg. you appeared CPT in June & when results came in July end, you passed . Then you started your IPCC coaching and next year in May you can take both the together or appear for first group in May and give your second group in December.

1. you can attempt both grps
2. as and when you are eligibel you should apply wothout making any delay
3. It depends where yu want to go post qualification, if you want to go for industry then join Big4 but it is alwasy preferred to join big4s.
4. you will rarely find any firm which suits you as every firm has different good and bad points, better to consult any existing employee or article there before joining the firm.
5. no idea of coaching class at chennai, you may optionally opt for self study
6. yes but sibject to certain conditions
7. IFRS and CS willl add value....
