I have been over a serious dilemma for the past 4 months as to whether to do job or practice in future, since, this decision will trigger the rest of events like place of articleship and preparation for final, etc.

Everyone i consult has a ready answer that it all depends on what you want or aim for with some basic input of info. regarding both. But, for me to decide that, i need enough info. of long term pros and cons of both decisions based on reality and not some hypothetical or idealistic information. Other threads here indeed helped but, none fit adequately in my circumstances.

I have cleared CA-IPCE in May 2013 with Rank 32 and it is high time for me to decide for my articleship, lest, my CA-FINAL attempt may get postponed.

So, please help me out of this dilemma.

This time i suggest you just concentrate on your studies and articleship,

In my view we should not jump into future, this will sabotage our present.

I have faced the same situation while studying, you will know the answer when you qualify

true, but, wouldn't my place of articleship have a greater impact on my future decisions? like, if i join big4, den its the best for a job aspirant and not so good for a person aiming for practice.

HI Abhiroop life is all about courage and risk and it is upto you how much appetite you have for risk. In practice you have to be on toes always and your progress depends upon your endeavour. First you find what you like most and you can do it willingly.For getting a glimpse of it go and grab a book STAY HUNGRY STAY FOOLISH and read it. First you explore what you want out of your life just do not move along with a herd. Do you know founder of Flipkart read about them.These story were same as of yours. So basic fundamental is what you want out of your life. Money is never a big deal it will follow you if you have the talent.
