Ya it may be changed, you should contact immediately with the ICAI. Further, in respect of further attempts of groups, there is no problem, you can opt any medium.

Further, i would like to advice you to give all your attempt in English Language only.

the following guidelines are taken from nov 2012 "ADMIT CARD"........

"Discrepancy relating to exam,group,medium,centre,name spelling, registration number, Unit etc., .should be reported in writing to the exam department so as to reach the Institute at least 7 (seven) days prior to the commencement of the examination. Request for change of center/medium/group etc received later than seven days prior to the commencement of exam will not be entertained under any circumstances."

yes , you can change it......

descrepancy covers every aspect .technical, intentional, unintentional mistakes etc.

don't waste time .......contact to ICAI through a letter, as early as possible.............
