Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies which Income Tax Return (ITR) form individuals should use when they have income from a proprietary business or profession, alongside salary income. It confirms that ITR Form 3 is the correct choice for individuals or Hindu Undivided Families carrying on a business or profession, including those who are directors in a company. The thread also touches upon whether ITR 3 can be filed without the assistance of a Chartered Accountant (CA).

Go for ITR 3
The Current ITR3 Form is to be used by an individual or a Hindu Undivided Family who have income from proprietary business or are carrying on profession. The persons having income from following sources are eligible to file ITR 3 : Carrying on a business or profession. If you are an Individual Director in a company.
