IT TAX INTIMATION LETTER

After receiving intimation from cpc u/s 143 they demand me rs.15330...As per my calculation tax is 7000 After taking deduction chapter VI(a)...And in intimation cpc considered no deduction. So As per cpc calculation in intimation net income is greater than my calculation so tax is higher than my calculation..

Quick Summary
This discussion addresses a user's confusion regarding an IT tax intimation letter from CPC demanding Rs. 15,330, significantly higher than their calculated tax of Rs. 7,000. The discrepancy arises because CPC appears to have disregarded deductions under Chapter VI(a). The user seeks clarification on why these deductions were not considered, with initial suggestions pointing towards the possibility of the new tax regime being selected or the assessment year being outside the rectification window.

You might have selected new tax regime. Check once

It is the case of F.Y-2010-11,,,I think on that time only old regime is Available..

But AY/ FY was not mentioned in the query

You can make a request for reprocess of return for said A.Y..

Hope rectification can't be filed beyond 5 years
