Is select cases for nov 12 sufficient?

Final 1367 views 8 replies

The ICAI has come out with a booklet "Select Cases in Direct and Indirect Tax Laws". The same has also been put up on their website.

It contains cases only from 2009 to 2011. However, as far as I know, cases upto 30th April 2012 are to be studied for the November attempt.

Are we supposed to wait till the RTP comes out to get the latest cases? Is there a place to read the latest cases in the meantime?

the select cases is sufficient.....concentrate on them...rest are nt that imp

in short ...i literally mean to mug up those case law....as 90% chances u will get sure shot questions on them

Thanks for your reply. It seems a bit lazy on the part of our BOS that they haven't bothered to include a single new case here.

Are we to believe that between October and April, not a single case law has been decided in this great nation of ours?

It is more likely we will see the new cases in the RTP. ICAI is just making a quick buck re-selling May 2012 attempt cases to us.

hey can you please provide me link for these case laws as i m not able to find them

Yes select cases of the recent two exams is more than sufficent.

thanks for providing this link

The case laws given on ICAI website are sufficient and specific questions will be asked from them only. However, if u can write additional case laws or can give their reference other than those mentioned in the above, it will increase your chances of fetching more marks.

Good luck for your preparations.

the relevant case laws applicable for nov ,12 was some what different from may 12

gain command over the relevant case laws ,that was nearly 90% enough

for the rest 10% u have to study land mark cases
