Yes it is compulsory to attend all the classes of student induction programme.

 my friend missed one class, he didnt received his certificate.

but i had a friend who attended only for four days and got the certificate.!!!!

so i am confused

It is compulsory to attend 7 days SIP as management of CS chapter strictly adhered the instruction of institute. If any body got completion certificate of SIP only after attending 4 days SIP, it is exceptional case or may be false.

Being a CS final student, I suggest you to attend all 7 days of SIP which will be beneficial to you definitely.

Iam giving my II module (executive ) exam this Dec'11. When can i attend the SIP training. is it mandatory to attend during Executive or can I attend during final course.

      Student Induction Programme (SIP) - Duration - 7 days, to be completed by the students within 6 months of registration to the Executive Programme (Intermediate Exams ) covering the following areas:-

1.            English Speaking Skills.

2.            Personality Development and Life Skills – Basic                   Concepts.

3.            Introduction to Course Contents, Electives and                  Opportunities both in practice and employment.

4.            Communication Skills, Writing ability-drafting                   etc.

5.            Usefulness of Reading Newspaper

6.            SWOT Analysis

7.            Computer Literacy (Basics)

8.            Know your Institute

Do  you have an idea if i can attend the induction programe before taking up 2nd module in Dec'11. What would be the consequences if i dont attend induction programme.

Yes............ you can complete your SIP before Dec 11 CS Executive exam.

      i am pursuing cs and i am giving executive program in december 2012 but still i didn't apply for sip training i recently heard that it is complsory to complete sip within 6 month of registration for executive now what to do???? because 6 months r completed

You can either apply for Exemption in SIP  OR you can now register for SIP Programme.

ICSI approach towards SIP and other programme's is really tough, they don't allow candidates for bunking or missing any class due to any reason, unless and until they are satisfied with your explanation. If you miss any day then they will hold back your certificate and ask you to attend the missed class in the next batch. So it's better you don't miss any class. As they dont trust medical certificates also these days, specially the ones with minor issues!

Ms. Swati you should apply for SIP before executive's exam and you can complete your SIP after executive but before filling exam form for c.s. professional.
