refere section 3 of the customs act. refer this link https://www.custada.in/CUSTADA-Online/document/document/MRP_BASED_ASSESSMENT.htm

Thank you mr.Hegde for your reply. Appreciate your help. But can you please tell me wether the goods i am importing does actually fall under the MRP cvd??

Thanks

Siddharth

Prima facie it is not directly covered under the schedule. Nevertheless it is pertinent to note that The measure is designed to hit the import of consumer goods.
Excise duty on the same domestic goods (among others) is also levied on the basis of MRP. (On other goods, excise may be levied on the basis of the so-called assessed ex-factory value). Imports are, in this respect, treated in just the same way as Indian products.
An important amendment made in section 3 relates to the valuation (for the purposes of additional duty) of packaged commodities imported into India. In the case of such goods the value would be computed on the basis of their maximum retail price in India. Please provide the tarrif codes of your products. I will try to find out whether they are covered
