Respected members,

I have recently cleared my CPT this December and have registered for IPCC which will be due in November 2012. I have the following queries regarding IPCC. I would be higly obliged if I could giv an opinion on these:

1. The IPCC exams will be due in Nov '12, so should I join the classes immediately (Janunary batch) or wait till the May attempt batches are over?

2. Do students usally appear for both the IPCC groups at once or one group at a time when at their first attempt?

3. If I do decide to appear only for Group 1 in Nov, should I join classes only for that group or for both?

4. Refrence books: are they necessary or will the institute material suffice. If not, please provide the list of recommended books (especially Tax & Adv. Accounting/Accounting).

Any opinion and comments would be highly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

ans. 1 Join asap 2. Give one group only 3. Join classes for first group only join second group classes immediately after exam 4. Taxation 1.singhania 2. ahuja For other sub module and scanner is sufficient.

For Nov 2012 means, there is lot of time, so I advise you to give both groups and take coaching accordingly now itself. For Accounting / Adv. Accounting refer Hanif & Mukherjee book along with institute module and manuals. For taxation refer Girish Ahuja along with module n manuals. Appearing both groups at a time and clearing them off will have priority for joining reputed firms or in Big4s.

Agree with Krishna , ample of time available for Nov. Attempt ..even i am going to appear for Ipcc in Nov. and going for both grps..start ur preparations as early as possible...
