I need the format of Provisional Investment declaration form for the F.Y.2012-13

I’ve one question about Investment declaration forms detailing about savings to be made by the employees during Apr of the every financial year. Because of Investment declaration forms, companies don’t deduct TDS during first nine months and deduct the same during Jan – Mar in case investment proofs are not submitted. Please guide me if this practice followed by companies legal and if yes, under which provision of the Income tax law. thanks, geetika
