I have taken secondment in a firm . Do I need to intimate the institute regarding the same ???
Please note that the ICAI website specifically states that no intimation need to be sent to the institute nor any deed of articles need to be filed.

kucchh matt karo. If you have taken secondment in bigg firms like pwc, kpmg,etc and you wanna show them later in ur resume; then i would advise u to intimate icai.
or else; sit down and chill.
