what will happen if the supplier Did not paid the gst on the invoices and the purchaser has already claimed the input tax on those invoices.

Is the purchaser is responsible to ensure that the supplier is paying the gst.

Yes supplier has to pay GST then only purchaser can claim input tax credit.

SUPPLIER CAN TAKE CREDIT OF SUCH INVOICES FOR WHICH TAX HAS BEEN PAID

My question is
I have claimed input credit based on the invoice value. I will not come to know whether my supplier paid GST or not till he file GSTR1.

If by any chance my supplier do not pay GST then what will happen. Will I be asked to refund the input credit claimed of the default supplier.
