INTEREST CALCULATION ON 3B

638 views 2 replies

We are filing the return on time, last month also we have filed the return before 20th. But when we are filing april month return we are getting 20,000 interst amount on 20,520 tax amount.

Inspite of filing the returns on time, why i am getting interest amount to be paid?

Anyone are facing the same problem?

Quick Summary
Taxpayers filing GSTR-3B on time may still see interest liability due to delayed cash ledger deposit, late tax offset, or previous period carry-forward dues. Users should verify the tax offset date and detailed interest breakup on the GST portal before filing.

The interest is likely due to a discrepancy between the date tax was deposited in the ledger and the date the return was actually filed/offset, or it is a carry-over from a late filing in a previous period. Verify the "Offset" date and the interest breakup in the GSTR-3B portal before proceeding.

Sure, Thank you  very much for your quick reply.
