The tag is attractive. But What about great books like Vinod K Singhania, Vinod Gupta, Girish Ahuja, T N Manoharan etc.. They are greats. I can't comment on your book before seeing it. But you must also appreciate the fact that you also can't place a tag of "India's No 1 book on taxation" before launching the book on All India Basis and receiving the positive response for the same on a consistent basis for some period .
Like anyother subject Taxation is also an ocean. No single book is best by itself and each one is unique in its own way. And It all depends on how you inter-link various provisions and present the subject in an interesting manner. I respect all the above authors for the same. Each one has their own style. But they never advertised this way. Rather their books created their own market and reached the book shelf of students automatically. So my humble suggestion is to use a different tag. Remember I am not prohibiting you from advertising or promoting your book but only to change the tag.
Regards
K Sathish
Dear satish
Thank you satish. I appreciate what you have written. I wished you could have read this book then i could have cherished your comments.
The tag India's No. 1 book on taxation is not created by me. It is the students who have given this title to the book. The intelligency of students cannot be doubted.
As far as other books are concern they are the best but mine is better. NO DOUBT. Sorry for going overboard but it is true.

Sorry to tell you that Sir I had pointed a clear mistake on the solution posted by you in response to a solution on the tax paper of CS in June 2011 & also you had accepted it & corrected that immd, Then How can I support the statement of Indias no 1 taxation book for your Book ?
Dear Mr K K Agrawal
I haven't commented on the contents of the book in the previous reply as I haven't gone through the same. I am only urging you to change the magical marketing tag you are using. I once again say "No book is best by itself and each one is unique in its way of clearing concepts".
You can't claim the book as best in India based on positive feedback given by a small lot of students (majority of whom might be your students). I urge you to get the same response throughout the length and breadth of the country before using such tags. Also appreciate the fact that the books which you are saying as inferior to your book might have been used by yourself when you were student and many of your friends who studied along with you. They are great persons who have contributed so much to the academics and to the profession, which no one can ever question. Further, please go through the forums in CAclubindia which requested for recommending books for study, In each reply to such forums by the respected members here, you would invariably find any one of those books.
You requested me to go through your book. I will do the same. I also request you the same, please go through other books before claiming your book as India's best in Taxation. Also please point out in what way your book is superior from the other books. I hope you understand. Also, I am not at all bothered if you go overboard, after all any discussion here is for the benefit the students here. So if our discussion here comes out with a fruitful result beneficial to them, then I will be the happiest person. So you can post your replies here for my comments.
Regards

Well said Sathish. People like Singhania and Girish Ahuja have been writing tax books since 80's and my father who cleared his CA in 1985 also referred from Singhania's book for his last attempt and i am doing the same.
Its like Virat Kohli saying after 1 good year that he is better than Tendulkar and Dravid. Long way to go Sir...

Agree with Sathish completely .....
let the student decide the no 1 tag by themselves ........

such cheap publicity stunt should be avoided by the author who claimed as tag is given by the students...it is something like using students shoulder to fulfill his dream to become no 1 which no one can become in his/her first short.
Thanks to Ankur, Yogesh, Renu and Bijay Kumar Agrawal for your support. The very sad part of this discussion is that Mr K K Agrawal is keep on advertising the book without giving any concrete reply. He keeps on posting photos and giving links to advertise his book. Hardly I believe that a book becomes National Best considering some 5 to 10 testimonials and 375 plus likes in facebook. Again I am not against your advertisement but only against the way of advertising and the tag used by you sir.
I don't know who wrote those testimonials. Please don't compare any books of CA Syllabus with a movie eventhough it creates some reading interest. Books are not for Commercial Entertainment like Dabangg. It is becoming a habit these days, if you don't have any other tool for advertising compare it with persons in films, movies, sportsmen or other celebrities. The subjects like taxation is for educating persons and not for entertaining. At the end of the day, after reading a book I must learn something, which I carry throughout my professional career (which hardly happens after watching a movie). Also, by the way, Fast Track Referencer is not new to us. Every book published by Padhukas, including Taxation carry them for last minute revision for over several years. But to me, the best fast track referencer is what you create out of your own notes. Many students, have only short span of time for studies so they are something like "Chapter Summary" or "Fast Track Referencer" is added by the authors. I appreciate that, but this is not so new to us, which is done for the first time in Indian books.
Friends I think there is no point in continuing this discussion anymore, whatever we say, the same kind of advertisements are going to continue. So plese don't reply anymore and waste your precious time. I once again thank you for your support.

Dear Mr Rahul
We can't do much about these things, that is why I requested everyone to stop commenting or replying. Its only waste of time and nothing is going to change. Students all over the country and all the respected members here know, whether this is so called "National Best" in Taxation. So let us leave it here. I request you to not to do the same things (i.e. same computer tricks or whatever marketing techniques) done by Mr K K Agrawal against the book or his teaching. Then there will be no difference between both the actions. So we need not make arguements here on matters which will never end. This is a platform for discussion and not for arguements. No concrete reply will come from Mr K K Agrawal on how his book is better than other books. Even if he comes out with a reply then each one of us can say atleast some better features or better discussions in other books on comparison with this book, which he might not accept. So its absolutely useless wasting time over here. Again I stand by my view "Taxation is an ocean and you can't rank the books in this subject, it is even more a tougher job than reading taxation". Every book has some unique features and no book is best by itself. By the way thanks for your support Rahul and we shall move on for other works/studies.
