hey, i honestly think that there is such concept like BEST BOOK of any subject. speciallly for IDT . ther are may groups who follow books according to need, some prefer BANGAR as its in Q &A format, SOme prefer AJAY JAIN, SOME prefer NS govindan while some go for K VAitheeswaran bookk.
you hav to decide for urself that wich book suits ur style of reading. for example, take bangar, its in question answer format, good for those who can mug up or like evry explanation in technical language, but that book lacks practical approach n those who like to study conceptually find it really hard to cope up with that authers book (both DT n IDT)
I always preferred DIPPAK GUPTA's modules as they are written from practical approach, n are better then evry other book on th esubject for those who want to Visualise n understand the technical subject like IDT. note that they are not as useful to the first time readers of IDT.
Conclusion: if u joined class of IDT n want to refer some book to gain practical knowledge of what exacly happens the go for dippak gupta's modules.
if u didnt join tutions n want to self study the go for either of NS govindan or K Vaitheeswaran
if u just wnna paas subject by Scoring good marks n keep specific approach then go for bangar
