Please help me following issue.
One employee has recently join our organisation.
Previous co. has not considered his HRA claim at the time of final settlement and deducted tax accordingly.
Can I consider that HRA claim while calculating Income earned from previous employer as has all rent receipts for the period or he should claim the same while filing return....

You may consider the whole amount also for the deduction
Ideally, the companies would consider only the proportionate amount of deduction for the period for which he served the new company...
yu can consider it now and accordingly calculate his tax liability and make TDS. If he is to claim it while filing his I-T return then unnecessarily he will have to claim the refund after waiting a long time as it takes time to process the refunds by the dept.
