hello Pooja,

sorry to bother you,

i have interacted with many of my friends across different companies and they say, thier company give them HRA= 40% of thier basic salary.

my doubts:

1. why my company must not be giving 40% of basic as HRA

2.. ok if hra = 15% of basic that ok, but can i claim exemption for the remaining 25% of the basic. as actually i m entitled by IT dept to claim a max of 40%

3. have you come across any such case like me.

4. what makes me wonder is why company isn't passing the IT exemption benefit to its employees.

Regards,

Kishor.
