no legally not

but 2 no. me kar sakte hai

You can claim the same as deduction..

YES YOU CAN DO THAT YOU HAVE TO DO IT IN BANK TRANSACTIONS ONLY BUT THEN YOU WIFE WILL GET TAXED THE SAME MONEY IN INCOME FROM HOUSE PROPERTY

you can not claim the deduction

yes u can claim but it should be proper entry though bank and the same will taxed to your wife if her income would fall under taxable income.

i agree with him

yes, i do agree with namit mehta

Yes you can claim, provided there should bea  proper Lease Agreement and the payment should be evidenced through a bank transaction.

Wife income will be taxed (subject to the limits of the Income)

the assessing officer has the right to probe the transaction throughly and if found the transaction is malafide intentions of to avoid tax or, then tax authority can demand tax from you as per the slabs under which your income would fall + interest + penalty if any.

It is always Good to be Ethical.

Thanks

As per Income Tax Act, HRA is not deductable if the person ives in his own resides.... and in your case if u will claim the HRA the same will be taxable in your wife Income as Income from House Property ...

So, You should not claim the same.... if you are claiming,  the Assessing Officer may count this HRA as a disallowed expenses on ur account. as the expenses maid in relationship and disquilified.

no u can not claim HRA in wife residence because, IT Dept. consider that husband wife relation is not of commercial nature.

Hello Nikhil .... there is no provision of commercial nature as stated by u in income tax ... if u r write then please let me know in which u have read this content.
