How to earn money in stock market

Stock market is a place to invest your surplus. Why?

There are risks involved. It is very important to understand that returns from stock market involve risk (Market risk for example). You could either not earn any returns or loose your money too if the market is performing bad)

The best way to earn money via stock market  - is to take advantage of time. What do I mean?

Invest in a growing company, put a good sum (Say atleast Rs. 10,000), let it grow for a minimum of 5 years.

Sell it when you are happy with the growth or when you are in need of liquid cash.

P.S.: Mutual funds have liquidity risk too. You cannot exit them when you want. Also, funds of mutual funds are invested in a number of companies so that could also work as a disadvantage.
