In my view,
All depends upon our approach, the way we see these 2 subjects.
IT makes us more familiar with Computers & emerging technologies, u can deal with computers more simply and easily than others in ur practical life.
SM makes u think more lyk an enterprenuer. So u bcum a wise decison maker.

IT should be practical oriented.mere rembering thoery and writing in the exams wont make us expert in IT..my views.
