I WANT THE ANSWER TO THIS SIMPLE QUESTION ALSO:.

I AM IN CA FINAL NEW COURSE. AND IF MY ARTICLESHIP IS GOING TO BE COMPLETED ON 31ST JANUARY 2011, THEN CAN I GIVE MY FINAL EXAM IN THIS NOVEMBER 2010??? THERE IS A NEW NOTIFICATION BY ICAI ON THE LINK GIVEN ABOVE, YET I M UNABLE TO UNDERSTND THE WORDINGS OF ICAI NOTIFICATION AND IF I AM ELIGIBLE TO GIVE EXAM IN THIS NOVEMBER, THEN I WANT TO TAKE LEAVE FROM OFFICE FROM TOMORROW. SO PLEASE TELL ME WHICH GAME ICAI IS PLAYING THIS TIME AND WHAT IS THE ANSWER TO MY QUESTION ACCORDING TO THE NEW NOTIFICATION THAT CANNOT BE UNDERSTOOD.

Yes you can appear for Final in Nov 2010, wordings are very clear you should be in Service ( Articles ) as on 01st Nov 2010 & also be in your last 6 Months of your 3.5 Yrs articles, In your case you articles are getting over on 31 January 2011, so calculation is simple & clear you are in last 6 Months of your Articles as on 01st Nov 2010, So go ahead Approach your Nearest ICAI office & still get more clarification to convince yourself, However I am very clear that you can appear your Finals in Nov 2010, Go ahead All the Best. Here Service certificate means that your Principal ( CA ) will certify your completed period Articles on & upoto 01Nov 2010, which you submit to ICAI

yes you can appear in the exam, the wordings, you must be in service, means you must registered with any principal on 01st nov 2010(you must be on duty it is not important), and service certificate means, the service certificate form attachted with examnation form must be sent to ICAI with the sign of principal.

When a ca final student fills his articleship completion form with the institute 

the institute serve him a Service completion certificate 

so who so ever had already filled the completion form with the institute need to attach a copy of service completion certifiacte

and who so ever have just finished or going to finish articleship upto 31st october need to fill the articleship completion form embedded in the CA FINAL EXAM FORM ITSELF !!

certrificate of service is a annexure to the print out of the application submitted online..

when u submit application online, u will get a pdf formate of ur application, which to be sent by speed post to the delhi..

in that application form, u will find an annexure name "certificate of service"

according to the line in the exam form it seems that u can appear for nov 10 exams,but is there an notification to taht effect?

Yes u can appear in nov10 exam according to new ICAI notification
