GSTR 9C TO BE CERTIFIED BY CA

HI,

As per recent newspaper article - Certification by CA/Cost accountant is not required for filing Reconcilation Statement in GSTR-9C, it is optional.  Is it true ?

d) A taxpayer has now been given an option to upload details of ITC availed in PDF format in GSTR-9C without the certification of a Chartered Accountant.

that option is not about filing of GSTR-9C, that is about uploading the data in PDF format only.

for filing of GSTR-9C certification is still required.
