Quick Summary
This discussion addresses concerns about delayed GST registration. Participants explore whether it's permissible to purchase goods as an unregistered dealer while awaiting registration. They also inquire about the possibility of suppliers amending Business-to-Consumer (B2C) invoices to Business-to-Business (B2B) once the GST number is approved. The consensus suggests that purchasing as unregistered is generally acceptable, and e-way bills generated under this status won't cause issues for the supplier, even for inter-state purchases. A provisional certificate might also be available.
Inform the same to supplier and can purchase. If, the GST Number not received before the end of a Tax period (Month) supplier can't update the same in his sale Invoice.
Hi nicson john, there is a rule in GST act that unregister dealer register now. In this you can apply for ITC based on filing of form. I think it is suitable for you
