GST on Sale of event tickets

Hello,

Suppose XYZ Ltd. sells ticket for an event through online agent. The event ticket price includes Hotel accommodation fees. XYZ ltd. pays to hotel its accommodation fees.

The question is whether the hotel accommodation fees would be included as outward supplies for XYZ ltd. or XYZ ltd. would be considered as pure agent for hotel accommodation part and other services would be taxed as outward supplies?

Quick Summary
This discussion explores the Goods and Services Tax (GST) treatment for event tickets that include hotel accommodation fees. The core question is whether the hotel accommodation portion should be considered an outward supply by the event organiser (XYZ Ltd.) or if the organiser acts as a pure agent for the hotel. Expert advice suggests the entire amount is taxable under GST.
