is GST applicale on commission paid for exempted goods like maize (macca) or poultry feed

If the commission is paid for the primary agriculture products then GST is not attracted but the agent is should b registered even if his turnover is less than threshold limit

in your case maize is primary product so GST not applicable

Product only exempted, But, Commission business is not exempted under GST.
So, Your commission business also fall under GST. Registration required...
