HII FRIENDS ,,

I CLEARED WRITTEN APTITUDE TEST OF ICICI BANK FOR THE POST OF PROBATIONARY OFFICER..NEXT WEEK I HAVE TO ATTENED A GROUP DISCUSSION.CAN ANYBODY PLZ HELP ME BY SAYING HOW TO APPEAR IN GROUP DISCUSSION..I NEVER ATTEND A GROUP DISCUSSION.SO A LITTLE TENSION..HW I WANT TO ATTEND GD..I WANT TO BE SELECTED..SO KINDLY GIVE ME YOUR VALUABLE TIPS..

ONE MORE QUESTION ON THE BASIS OF WHAT THEY GIVE TOPIC..ANY BASIS FOR THIS...THANKS IN ADVANCE

Congrats S&V, for clearing aptitude test and BAest of luck for GD.

I am sure you will crack it. Just remain confident in yourself. Go by what you say, and express your views without any hesitation. Confidence matters a lot in GDs.

Hey, congrats! I am doing Audit in ICICI Bank. Since Jan-2009. Please give me the date of your disscussion tommrrow I will ask to the Senior officers and experienced manager for that and will reply you. 1st of all congrats..........

though i dont have a g8 idea about GD but i know few points which might be helpful

1. Highest point is given to the person who starts first [here u ll notice tht others will begin with u, but the voice and speech of ur should be such tht others r bound to listen to u, this doesnt mean tht u ll start shouting at the top of ur voice]

2. Never contradict others point becoz this gives the impression tht u wont be able to work in a team so always support others point of view and say tht in support u wanna say etc etc..

Moreover if u have freinds who is doing MBA thn ask him/her for suggestion becoz they ll have a better idea upon it as they r tought these things in instittutes while preparing for exams

Best of Luck, be confident in what ever u r saying, be a good listener and try to quote waht others r have said

Your dressing sense also matters a lot in GDs.

it is also a thing that it is not necessary to overspeak to win a GD. if u present less but more relevant points for the subject then it attracts the attention of the evaluator more. and never cut any one point directly by interrupting him as doing this shows informality but in a indirect manner u can present ur points which leaves a good impact on the evaluator....

And one more thing congrats and best of luck for the GD.

just refer our institute hand book for members it is really good please glance once quickly and undersatnd .There are some topics also given which you have to prepare for GD though applicable to members u can make use of it.Good Luck and Best Wishes

Hi ..This is Nitin Sonawane , I was a student of PE-II and appeared only once but did not cleared any of the group , after that I drop the idea abt doing CA inter and did MBA in Finance in 2008-10. Now I want to do CA inter again without giving CPT is it possible now?..if not then pls guide me how can i attempt for IPCC by this november or next year June...I need your guidance

Your Appearance. Attire, hygiene, and anything else that relates to your physical form will be judged. If you wear too much make-up or cologne, at least one of the interviewers will notice. If you forgot to put on deodorant or match your socks, at least one of the interviewers will notice.
Your Presentation Skills. Interviewers will be paying special attention to how you present yourself. Do you slouch or fidget? Do you make eye contact when you converse? Did you remember to shake hands with everyone in the room?
Your Communication Skills. No matter what type of job you are applying for, you will need to be able to communicate. Specific skills that group interviewers look for is your ability to listen, follow instructions and get your ideas across.
Your Interest Level. From the time the interview starts until it ends, interviewers will be trying to assess how interested you are in the job you are applying for. If you seem bored and unengaged during the interview, you will probably be passed by for someone else.

SOME KEY POINTS

Greet all of your interviewers individually. Make eye contact, say hello, and if possible shake hands.
Don't focus on any one individual. You should make an effort to engage everyone in the group when you are asking or answering questions.
Don't show surprise or annoyance when faced with a group interview.
Prepare for the group interview by making a list of questions that you may be asked and practicing how you might answer them.
If you are interviewed with other candidates it is better to lead than to follow. Interviewers may not remember you if you blend into the background.
Skills you will be expected to demonstrate during group interview exercises include leadership skills, your ability to handle stress and pressure, teamwork skills and how well you take and give criticism. Be sure to keep this in mind when you complete the exercises.
Thank everyone who interviewed you and remember names and titles so that you can send a written than you note afterwards.
