One of my client received Gratuity arrears of Rs. 1,50,000.00 in Dec 2010 and earlier she had got around Rs. 3,00,000.00 in April 2010.
How will the limit for Gratuity be determined. Will it be 3,50,000.00 or Rs. 10,00,000.00 ???

The max. limit will be 350000 only in this case coz we consider the period when gratuity becomes due.The New ceiling of 10 lacs is applicable from 5.5.2010...So if the gratuity received in April 2010, the max limit will be 350000 only no matter when u receive the pending amount..
