Gmcs 2
i am a student who got registered to articleship after 30/04/2012. as per new rules when can i complete gmcs 2? i have completed GMCS 1. plz reply soon

Hi Ritu,
As per the announcement dated 22/07/2015 for students who are reg. on or after 1st May 2012 they can complete gmcs 2 anytime before applying for membership. So theres no time limit as such.
However just call / visit your nearest regional centre and confirm once and they keep on changing rules regarding gmcs every now and then.

Actually I made my query to ICAI E-sahayata portal. i got the reply that i need not undergo GMCS 2 as per new notification GMCS 2 has been dispensed with.

hi sorry i misread your reply. I guess you have to do gmcs before applying for membership.
please contact the gmcs division of your respective regional centre and confirm or else wait for someones reply here
From last 2 years they have constantly kept on changing gmcs requirements so as per what i know initially gmcs 1 and gmcs 2 was required. Then they relaxed gmcs 1 and substituted it with Orientation in lieu of gmcs 1. Then they scrapped gmcs 2 and changed its nomenclature to just GMCS. So suggest you just to cross check it again later.
GMCS 2 CAN BE DONE BEFORE APPLYING FOR MEMBERSHIP.
