Give ur views on prawn feed question in IDT

yes there is a case law regarding the same case.

Its related to classification of product, u will find the case in suggested case book of institute Alfred engineering pvt. ltd

its case on "Atherton Engineering" case. U can find it in Student Newsletter or RTP november, 2010 old syllabus. I wrote it. 

I know this question is related to classification & a particular case law. But my point is questions should be such that students should be able to answers by applying the rules & provisions. This question is so peculiar that it cant be answered unless the student has seen case law. This case law is of no general use, how many does deal in Brime shrimp eggs???

It std responsibilty to get himself of updated cases, circulars & notification.

Our President, VP etc are sreaming a lot via news letter n suc other media to std abt updation of our kno to be updated.

Further this paper is more of clarity of concepts......u cant blam ICAI on suc issues, whn its already askd frm their prntd bk "Selected Cases on Direct & Indirect Case 2010.....Hope thier mssg is communicated.

Can u please tell me whats the use of grasping case laws. the institute shuld try to test the concept clarity & ability of the students to interpret the provisions, instead of testing their grasping powers. If u do not agree then please tell me what u learned from brime egg case.

Tushar, u r still not understanding what i am saying. dont act as if u are very loyal towards the institute and I am acting like a complaining student.  Pls just answer my simple question what learned from that case. 

I learned that ans is classified under the heading 2309

 If u have any doubt abt that que then i kindly request u to refer to the case laws book of the institute for may,2011 exams. U will get answer of ur question.

Kisna has answered it perfectly.... It is Atherton Engineering Co Pvt Ltd (2010) case law... That case is available in Selected Cases book released by the institute relevant for May & Nov 2011 examinations... some more cases will be added for this applicable for nov 2011 exam & which will be published in ICAI web site by the end of JULY 2011.... check it out...

Did you got anything by mugging up the due dates ..........certainly nothing more than marks because due dates will change in the coming Finance Act......... but you wrote them to earn marks......same is the case with case laws..........hope you got your answer.
