Forgot tan login id

Mr. Akhil, you can get the details regarding your TAN login id provided you remember the email ID through which you registered at the time of registration at https://www.tin-nsdl.com/#.

Check your email in which NSDL department send automated email on your email id with subject line as "Acknowledgement for TAN" in which registration number is written (12 digit) starting from 'T'. This number is to be entered in the password protected (.pdf file) which u have received in another email from NSDL with subject line as "Reg your TAN registration" and pdf file will be named as "TANNO_REFERENCENO.pdf". Open this file and enter your 12 digit TAN REGISTRATION NO.

When this file will open u will get your user ID which u provided at the time of registration. Now go to https://onlineservices.tin.nsdl.com/TIN/JSP/security/TanLogin.jsp and click on reset password. Remember on reset you will again enter the 12 digit number in .pdf file  i.e TAN registration No., which will give computer generated password in the .pdf file. Enter the same at  and change your password option will appear. By this u can recover your TAN account.

Hi Shashank,

Please let me know how I can get my password from a TIN Center. TIN center holder have created my profile on NSDL and now they are forcing me to make any transaction through them, but now I want to submit my quarterly return myself.

Please provide me the solution. I have only my TAN Number nothing else.
