Family pension

TDS has been deducted for family pension under sec 192. But while filing it has shown as income from other sources and claimed 15000 deduction. IT Dept sent notice mismatch of salary income between 26as and return. What response o can give to IT Dept? Thanks in advance.

Disagree ................. 'Receipts considered under a different head in the return as against the section under which it is deducted'..........

Mismatch is due to family pension had considered as salary while deducting TDS under section 192 but now it has been shown under head IFOS and availed exemption of Rs. 15000/-. Hence, Salary Income as per 26AS and return have mismatch.
