SHOULD SUNDAYS SHOULD BE INCLUDED OR EXCLUDED IN OUR LEAVE CALCULATION/

its very simple, dont confuse

calculate:

1) actual days served

2) take 1/6th of above  as allowed leave

(180 days are 1/6th of 3.5 yrs;hence most of the students get confused here only)

3) calculate actual leaves but dont include sundays, exam days, it course, gmcs days as leave

4) difference of 2) and 3) is excess leave

Eligible leave is 1/6th of actual leave served and not 180 days, but when one take upto 183 days leave without attracting excess leave which is worked as under:

Total working days = 365days*3.5yrs = 1278

Let the Leave taken be 'x'

Then the eligible leave comes to: (1278-x)/6

Nil excess leave implies "Leave Taken = Eligible Leave"

Therefore x = (1278-x)/6

x = 183 days

it means leave upto 183 days leads to 0 excess Leave

Leave Taken      Excess Leave

 184                           2

185                             3

190                             9

200                             20

250                              79

300                             137

365                             213 and so on....
