Entry tax on cars and spare parts

Hey. I have two queries,

1. Do we have to pay entry tax on cars spare parts and such goods.

- Yes - if the originating state has exemption / lower rate of tax than entry tax is payable.

2. Do we have to pay entry tax on cars purchased from other state and it is not menat for resale and is our asset.

- Yes, if the car is brought to your state without registration of RTO, however in case of RTO registered vehicles its not applicable.
