is manorahan sufficient or should i use another book with it like vk singhania.please help and someone please tell the imp chapters and strategy to clear this subject.

In my opinion, TN Manoharan's book is useful for Theory and is intended for quick revision before exam. However Singhania's Book is better for solving the tax numerical problems. So what you can do is study the concepts and fundas of taxation from Manoharan and apply those concepts while solving the numericals from Singhania. then in your opinion i should buy vk or vinod gupta is preferable does it contains good amount of problems talking abt vinod gupta i have used vk in pcc as well as manorahan

Go for T N Manoharan. Its a typical xam oriented book. Moreover select the book which u will b able to finish in a day, during xams. N stick to any 1 book per subject. More books will create more confusion rather than any value addition.

The no. of problems in T N Manoharan are more than enough. Just solve them. I also stuck to T N Manoharan n got 60 in DT. Also refer practice manual by ICAI.

thanks for clearing my doubt and can u tell how to study means which chapter to begin with and strategy to clear dt also will you suggest about idt chapter preference and books to follow if you can suggest for costing and isca it would be great help for me.thanks

For DT- divide the syllabus into two parts- syllabus till PCC/IPCC i.e. heads of income & computation & basic concepts and rest of final. Before starting final syllabus u need to have conceptual knowledge of PCC syllabus. For IDT- finish VAT & Service Tax then customs & then excise. For Costing & ISCA- practice manuals by ICAI & for ISCA module. All the BEst. If u have any query reply.

I had referred TN manoharan for pcc.it just states the provision ,i want a book which apprecaites intention of law maker.i mean gives an idea why law is framed so tat conceptual clarrity can be attained...

is there any such book?

I agree with ketan kumar ... the flow is good and you can revise the entire chapter before exams.. more over in DT you need to get to know the act rather than doing the numerical problems..
