Downright discrimination by icai

Very Discriminatory of ICAI to have exams on the Diwali day in Some states ( 10th Nov) but holiday on 11th November. Any way the exam is a month long affair now. Both Days should have been holdays.

this is not discrimination. ICAI has to manage result dates. If there is delay of result people like you again make arguments.

Exams are important if Diwali is important to you then you can skip the exams... its ur wish

Kindly refrain from usage of loaded words. The choice is for the candidate to decide as to whether is it Festival or special ocassion or Examination, which is important for them.

Festivals come every year but exam once is important for life plus Colleges r available only during vacations

Agreed with Ayush Jain..

I think.. You can get more happiness in celebrating festivals after clearing your exams..

Ya , I have also given ca final exams during diwali .Its tough.there are 2 ways of thinking.First is to celebrate diwali after the exams .Second is to try to clear the exams in may month itself.Another way is to request icai to conduct exams in the month of june and dec just like cs and icwa.

Yes.. but Icai has also its priorities & this will not be good for candidates who r preparing for CS along with Ca.
Friends point brought out by gopalakrishnan is lost. He advise to have exam on all days by icai as its priority is to give results in time. Giving leave for one ( north states) and leaving festival of South is discriminatory. Note there is Kerala election and now tn,ap floods and this is unavoidable. Welcome all views Both for. And. Against
