Yes you can use it but it would be preferable to take up a new edition and may be you can take D S RAWAT for it
Yes..book of AS of DS Rawat is very good from exam point of view.
As you have read M.P.Vijaykumar's book for sometime now, it is better to stick to it and compliment it with the latest practice manual to analyse the new set of questions which has appeared in the recent past examination.
