what is the time limit for issue of Debit note or credit note relevant to the FY 2017-18

Debit note , there is no time limit. For credit note for the month of 30th September or the date of annual return filing whichever is earlier.
Debit note and credit note should be issued within the 180 days. You cannot issue Debit or credit note for F.Y. 2017-18 now
Time limit for issue of credit note and debit note
On or before the thirtieth day of September following the end of the financial year in which such supply was made, or
The date of filing of the relevant annual return for the financial year,
whichever is earlier.
